Dreadful Flying Glove is a Blue Meanie, and minor antagonist in Yellow Submarine. It receives much affection from its leader, Chief Blue Meanie.
Appearance[]
The Dreadful Flying Glove is shaped like a left-handed blue glove, with two buttons at the end. The thumb's fingernail serves as its eye, which is green with a red eyelid. The index finger serves as its nose, and both its middle and ring finger are used as its mouth with lighter purple teeth; though, it never speaks, aside from the occasional evil laugh.
Abilities[]
Index Finger[]
The Glove uses its index finger more often than any other finger it has, mainly due to the fact that it can crush its enemies with it.
Its index finger is also its "Achilles' Heel," if you will. During its battle with John, it would constantly be trapped in the "O" in "LOVE," as the word literally comes out of John's mouth as he sings All You Need is Love.
Crushing[]
Sometimes, the Dreadful Flying Glove rolls itself into a fist, and bangs the ground below it, in an attempt to crush its enemies. Often times, this fails, having once fallen into water when trying to crush Old Fred.

Fist[]
The less common attack, which involves trapping its enemy and rolling itself into a fist.
Flight[]
The Flying Glove, as the name suggests, travels by flight. As it flies, a red and yellow streak exits the end of its body, with a trail of smoke following behind. It flies as great speeds.
Storyline[]
Harassment of Pepperland[]
When the Blue Meanie Army began its assault on Pepperland, they did not count on Old Fred escaping. The Chief Blue Meanie calls on The Dreadful Flying Glove to stop him. However, he is ineffective and manages to get trapped under one of Pepperland's monuments.
The Submarine's Return[]
John was challenged by The Glove again but was powerless against John's ability to materialize the words he spoke, eventually defeating him. The Glove is then seen at the end of the film celebrating with the citizens of Pepperland after the Blue Meanies' redeeming.
